Certificate verification
Check a certificate against the record that issued it
Every certificate carries a number. Enter it and this page reads the issuing register directly, not a copy and not the document in front of you.
- Read from the issuing register
- The document itself is never uploaded
- No account, no sign-in
Or scan the QR code printed on the certificate.
How the check works
Three steps, and the middle one is the only one you do.
- 01
Find the number
Printed on the certificate under the holder's name, and encoded in its QR code. It looks like SHOG-C-2026-H66Q65Y.
- 02
Enter it above
Spaces and lower case are fine. The number is read the way it was issued.
- 03
Read the record
The answer has its own address, so it can be filed, sent to a colleague, or opened again in a year.
What this check tells you
A verification answers one question: does this number belong to a certificate issued through this platform, and does it still stand. It is not a report on the person.
Shown
What the register holds against the number.
- The course, and the company whose people took it
- Who issued it, and whether the course was theirs or ours
- The date it was issued, and the date it lapses
- Whether it is valid, lapsed or withdrawn today
Not shown
Held by the company that ran the training, and theirs to release.
- Assessment scores, attempts or answers
- Contact details, employment or job title
- Any other training the holder has taken
- Anything at all about who ran this check
